Can I enter the Sultanate of Oman during a transit period at Muscat International Airport?

Entry to the Sultanate of Oman is permitted during a transit period at Muscat International Airport if you have enough time (at least 6 hours).

Taxi services are available in the arrivals hall. Additionally, taxis from major hotels may sometimes wait for passengers near the exit passageway.

Is there a place to store my luggage if I have long waiting hours at the airport?

Yes, there is a luggage storage facility. Please visit Storage & Go on the fourth floor of the departures area (Entrance C).

Is there internet service available at the airport?

Yes, internet service is available for free at the airport for two hours.

Are there any lounges in the airport to purchase a new phone line upon my arrival?

Yes. Travelers can top up their phone credit or purchase a new phone line from one of the three telecom company branches located in the arrivals hall at Muscat International Airport.

It is recommended to arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight departure time to ensure all procedures are successfully completed, such as checking in luggage, passing through security, and reaching the boarding gate on time.

Is there a luggage wrapping service at Muscat International Airport?

Yes, luggage wrapping services are available at Muscat International Airport. Additionally, travelers can ship excess luggage at the kiosk near Counter G on the departure level (located on the fourth floor) of the airport, before checking in their luggage.

When does the boarding gate open?

Boarding gates open one hour before the departure time, and boarding usually begins thirty minutes before departure and ends fifteen minutes before departure.

What should I do if I lose or find something inside the terminal?

If you lose something at the airport, it is best to immediately go to the Royal Oman Police office located on the ground floor, or contact the following number: +968 2435 5880. The specialized staff will assist you in searching for your lost items and provide the necessary support.

What should I do if I lose something on the plane?

If you forget or lose any of your belongings on board one of the aircraft, please contact the lost and found office of the operating airline.
